Finalist Application

Congratulations on your hunting accomplishments in 2024! This questionnaire allows us to learn more about your season and is used by our judges to select the top 3 finalists for the HuntLeague Outdoorsman of the Year. Many of you filling this out have been nominated as a potential finalist based on your involvement in the app throughout the year.

To be nominated as a finalist you had to finish in the top 10% of the HuntLeague Leaderboard, remain active on the Community page, and log a significant number of hunts/scouts for various species. The HuntLeague Leaderboard saw several changes throughout the year and will always be somewhat of an imperfect system, so the Leaderboard is not used as the only determining factor. The final step in crowning this year’s winner will be decided by this questionnaire and a panel of 5 judges made up the previous years champion and outdoor industry professionals.

The Outdoorsman of the Year is the highest honor awarded inside the HuntLeague app. It represents a commitment to the outdoors, conservation, mentoring, ethics and good sportsmanship. Click here for more info or email [email protected] with your questions.

Please submit your completed application on or before January 7^th. Answers should be anything from a few sentences to a couple paragraphs. (This is not a writing competition!) Our panel of judges may have a few additional questions and may reach out to you independently as we narrow the selection to the top 3 finalists. HuntLeague will announce the finalists on or before January 14th. Between January 15th and 25th we will attempt to record a podcast with each finalist and schedule a live interview with the judges panel. HuntLeague will then host a live virtual event open to the entire HuntLeague community, friends, and family the last week of January where the 2023 HuntLeague Outdoorsman of the Year will be announced.
