Whether you hunted whitetail, blacktail, mule deer, axis, or some other exotic deer we want to hear your story!  The HuntLeague Deer of the Year award will be given to one hunter with an exceptional story.  This is not a size, mass, or trash competition (although that typically makes the story a bit more interesting).  Share your blunders, the ups and downs, and what ultimately made this year, this hunt, this deer worthy of the Deer of the Year title.

For example:  

In September I heard the story of a hunter that shot a whitetail doe, dragged it to his truck and was driving down the road when all of the sudden the doe stood up and jumped out of the bed of his truck.  In shock, he quickly pulled the truck over, pulled his rifle back out, and had to make a second shot on the same deer that was now on its feet walking through a field.  

This questionnaire, along with your leaderboard rank for deer, and community involvement will be used in helping us determine the winner.

Please submit your completed application on or before January 7^th.  Answers should be anything from a few sentences to a couple paragraphs.  (This is not a writing competition!)  Our panel of judges may have a few additional questions and may reach out to you independently as we narrow the selection to the top finalists.  The winner of this league will be announced at the Outdoorsman of the Year live event.
