HuntLeague Privacy Policy

Last Updated: September 13, 2026

HuntLeague is operated by Impact Adventures LLC (“Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).

Impact Adventures LLC respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use:

  • The HuntLeague website (www.huntleague.com)
  • The HuntLeague mobile applications (iOS and Android)
  • The HuntLeague companion apps for wearable devices, including Apple Watch and Garmin (Connect IQ) watches
  • Any related services, features, or content (collectively, the “Services”)

By accessing or using the Services, you agree to this Privacy Policy.

1. Information We Collect

A. Information You Provide to Us

We may collect:

  • Name
  • Username
  • Email address
  • Phone number
  • Mailing address
  • Profile information (including photos or videos)
  • Payment information (processed by third-party payment providers; we do not store full payment card numbers)
  • Communications you send to us
  • Content you upload, including hunting data, map data, photos, and videos

B. Location Information

With your permission, we may collect:

  • Precise GPS location data
  • General location based on IP address
  • Location history related to hunting activities

You may disable location services at any time through your device settings. Some features may not function properly without location access.

C. Contacts (If Permission Is Granted)

If you grant access to your contacts:

  • We may use that information to help you connect with other users.
  • We do not permanently store your contact list unless necessary to provide a feature you initiate.

You may revoke access through your device settings at any time.

D. Health, Fitness, and Motion Information

With your permission, HuntLeague may read a limited amount of fitness information from your device’s health store (Apple Health on iOS), and may write activity information back to it:

  • Walking and running distance for the time period of a hunt, used only to pre-fill the editable “Distance Hiked” field when you end that hunt. You may change or clear the value; the number you confirm is saved with your hunt record.
  • A workout entry that the Apple Watch app saves to Apple Health while a hunt is active. This is what keeps the app running with your wrist down so it can continue working throughout your hunt.
  • Motion and accelerometer data from the device’s sensors, used by the optional shot-detection feature to recognize the impulse of a shot. This sensor data is processed on your device and is not uploaded; only a log entry you confirm is saved.

We do not read your heart rate, sleep, body measurements, clinical records, or any other health category. We use health and fitness information only to provide these features. We never use health or fitness data for advertising or marketing, and we do not sell it, share it, or use it for data mining. You may grant or revoke health access at any time in your device’s privacy settings; HuntLeague works without it.

E. Automatically Collected Information

When you use the Services, we may automatically collect:

  • Device type and operating system
  • Unique device identifiers
  • IP address
  • Browser type
  • Usage data (pages viewed, session duration, features used)
  • Log files
  • Crash and diagnostic data

F. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies to:

  • Operate and maintain the Services
  • Improve functionality and performance
  • Analyze user activity
  • Measure marketing effectiveness

You can control cookie settings through your browser. Disabling cookies may affect certain features.

2. How We Use Your Information

Impact Adventures LLC uses your information to:

  • Provide and maintain the Services
  • Create and manage user accounts
  • Enable mapping and hunting features
  • Process payments and transactions
  • Respond to inquiries and provide support
  • Improve and develop new features
  • Monitor usage trends and performance
  • Detect fraud or security issues
  • Generate optional summaries, insights, and notification messages about your own activity using automated and artificial-intelligence tools
  • Review content posted to public areas of the Services for policy violations, using automated moderation tools
  • Comply with legal obligations
  • Enforce our Terms of Service

3. Legal Basis for Processing (EEA/UK Users)

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA) or United Kingdom, we process personal data under the following legal bases:

  • Performance of a contract
  • Your consent
  • Legitimate interests (such as improving Services and preventing fraud)
  • Compliance with legal obligations

Where consent is required, you may withdraw it at any time.

4. How We Share Information

Impact Adventures LLC does not sell personal information.

We may share information with:

A. Service Providers

Third parties who perform services on our behalf, such as:

  • Cloud hosting and storage providers, principally Amazon Web Services, which host our servers, our database, and the photos and videos you upload
  • Payment processors
  • Analytics providers
  • Email and communication services
  • Customer support platforms
  • Mapping and map-tile providers, which receive the map area you are viewing
  • Routing and directions providers, which receive your current location and the location you are navigating to when you ask for a Route Plan, in order to return a road route, a walking route, and travel times. On iPhone this is Apple; on Android this is Google and Mapbox. These providers act on our behalf and may not keep or use those locations for their own purposes
  • Weather data providers, which receive an approximate location in order to return conditions for it
  • Artificial-intelligence and machine-learning providers, which generate activity summaries, insights, and notification text
  • Automated content-moderation providers, which review content posted to public areas of the Services

These providers are required to protect your data, and they may process it only to perform the service we have engaged them for.

Where we use artificial-intelligence providers to generate summaries, insights, or notification text, we send only the limited information needed to produce that text. We remove the precise coordinates of your hunting locations, and we do not send the names you give your hunts, waypoints, or stands. We do not permit these providers to use your information to train their own models, and we do not use artificial intelligence to make any decision that has a legal or similarly significant effect on you.

When you start a drive from a Route Plan, HuntLeague opens the navigation app you choose (Apple Maps, Google Maps, or Waze) and passes it only the drop-off point — never the name of your hunt or the waypoint itself. From that point the navigation app operates under its own privacy policy.

B. Garmin Devices and Garmin Connect

If you use the HuntLeague app for Garmin watches, some of your information leaves the watch through Garmin rather than through us. This works differently from our other wearable support, so it is described here in full.

  • The recorded activity. While a hunt or a track is running, the watch app records a standard Garmin activity file containing your GPS track, the time at which you logged each event, a marker and numeric code for each event, and a count of them. Garmin’s own software uploads that activity to Garmin Connect the next time your watch syncs. That upload happens under your Garmin account, using Garmin’s software, and it does not pass through HuntLeague — it occurs even if you never open the HuntLeague app. We keep this behavior deliberately, because the activity file is what lets you recover your hunt if your phone is lost, broken, or dead.
  • Waypoints. A waypoint you save from the watch is written to the watch as a standard Garmin waypoint, so you can navigate back to it with Garmin’s own tools, and it syncs to Garmin Connect the same way. Watch waypoints are named in sequence (for example, “HL 4”). The names you give your hunts, stands, and waypoints inside HuntLeague are never sent to the watch.
  • Events sent to your phone. When your watch is paired with your phone, the events you log are relayed to the HuntLeague app over Bluetooth using Garmin’s Connect IQ messaging, which is carried by the Garmin Connect Mobile app on your phone. Each relayed record contains a sequence number, a numeric event code, an identifier for the hunt, the wall-clock date and time, the coordinates, and an indicator of GPS accuracy. It contains no names and no free text.

Information that reaches Garmin Connect is held by Garmin under Garmin’s privacy policy, not this one. For that data Garmin is an independent company rather than a service provider acting on our behalf, which means we cannot reach into, control, or delete what is stored in your Garmin account. You manage it — including deletion, and any sharing or public-activity settings — through Garmin Connect and your Garmin account settings. Deleting your HuntLeague account does not remove activities or waypoints that have already synced to Garmin. If you do not want your hunting locations stored in Garmin Connect, do not use the Garmin watch app.

The Garmin watch app does not read your heart rate, sleep, stress, body measurements, or any other health or wellness metric from the watch. It has no microphone access and no internet connection of its own. When you start a dictated note from the watch, the watch only marks the moment; the recording is made by your phone.

D. Business Transfers

In the event of a merger, acquisition, restructuring, or asset sale, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

10. Mobile App Permissions

The HuntLeague mobile and wearable applications may request access to:

  • Location services

  • Microphone (for audio recorded with a video)
  • Photos and media storage
  • Contacts
  • Push notifications
  • Health and fitness data (Apple Health)
  • Motion and fitness sensors

You may control these permissions through your device settings.

The HuntLeague app for Garmin watches requests a separate set of permissions, which Garmin shows you when you install it: GPS position, activity recording, messaging with the HuntLeague app on your phone, saved waypoints, and permission to run in the background so that queued events can sync. It does not request health, wellness, or heart-rate data. You control these through the Connect IQ store and your Garmin device settings.

11. Marketing Communications

You may opt out of marketing emails by clicking the “unsubscribe” link in communications.

We may still send service-related messages necessary for account management.

12. Third-Party Links

The Services may contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for their privacy practices.
